About macro & walkway mesh
Macro and walkway mesh is the heavy end of our expanded metal range: openings from 25 × 76 mm up to 80 × 200 mm, in 1.5 to 5.0 mm sheet with strands up to 11 mm wide. The raised, angled strands give a naturally slip-resistant surface that drains water and lets light through.
It is used for walkways, catwalks, maintenance platforms, stair treads and mezzanines, while the larger macro openings suit heavy-duty screening and fencing. How much load a sheet can carry depends on the code and on how far apart it is supported, so tell us the span and the use and we will recommend a code.

Which code should I use for a walkway?
Walking surfaces normally use the heavier codes, 4.5 to 5 mm thick with wide strands. The right code depends on the load and the support spacing, so send us those details and we will recommend one.
What is the difference between macro mesh and walkway mesh?
Both come from the same heavy range. The largest openings, such as 80 × 200 mm, are mostly used for screening and fencing, while the tighter, thicker codes are chosen for walking surfaces.
How many sheets are in a bundle?
From 15 sheets for the heaviest 5 mm codes up to 230 sheets for code 1509. See the Bundle column in the code list.
